Regular Season Round 15: Rio Breogan - Obradoiro 64-59

Everything could happen in Lugo at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Rio Breogan and 10th ranked Obradoiro had identical 7-7 record. This time Rio Breogan used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Santiago de Compostela 64-59 on Saturday night. It was a great evening for American power forward Ethan Happ (208-1996, college: Wisconsin) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian guard Nemanja Nenadic (196-1994, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 10 points. Four Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Argentinian-Italian point guard Fernando Zurbriggen (185-1997) with 17 points and Canadian guard Kassius Robertson (190-1994, college: Missouri, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rio Breogan (8-7) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Gran Canaria and Bilbao. Loser Obradoiro keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Valencia and Murcia. Rio Breogan is looking forward to face higher ranked Unicaja (#6) in Malaga in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Obradoiro will play on the road against Real Betis (#18) in Sevilla and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
