Regular Season Round 16: Klodzko - Gimbasket 87-58

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Gimbasket (1-15) was outleveled on the road by ninth ranked Klodzko (8-8) 87-58 on Saturday. Klodzko forced 19 Gimbasket turnovers and outrebounded them 44-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by guard Michal Weiss (188-1982) who scored that evening 8 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and point guard Lukasz Makarczuk (185-2000) supported him with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Even 16 points and 8 rebounds by forward Pawel Galczynski (195-1998) did not help to save the game for Gimbasket. Forward Jakub Lewandowski (203-2001) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Klodzko moved-up to seventh place. Gimbasket lost thirteenth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 15 games lost. Klodzko will meet Gorzow (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gimbasket will play against Olesnica and hope to win that game.
