The game between third ranked Hapoel Holon (8-5) and seventh ranked Bnei Hasharon (6-6) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Hapoel Holon was defeated by Bnei Hasharon in Hod Hasharon 64-77. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hapoel Holon. They outrebounded Hapoel Holon 43-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Quinton Hooker (183-1995, college: N.Dakota) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Belgian power forward Andy Van Vliet (213-1995, college: William & Mary) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international Shawn Dawson (198-1993) answered with 15 points and 5 assists and American center Marvin Jones (213-1993, college: Texas Southern) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Holon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bnei Hasharon have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Defending champion Hapoel Holon keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with I.Ness Ziona. Bnei Hasharon are looking forward to face higher ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Holon will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona in Nes Ziyona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
