The most exciting game of round 17 in the Nike SBL took place in Bratislava. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Prievidza (6-11) to third ranked Inter Bratislava (9-8) 63-60 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Prievidza. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian center Tomas Zdanavicius (203-1996) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. American swingman JP Moorman II (201-1998, college: UC Riverside, agency: Players Group) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Kevin Anderson (196-1998, college: Delaware) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian forward Dusan Hukic (210-1993) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava maintains third place with 9-8 record having four points less than leader Spisski Rytieri. Prievidza at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Inter Bratislava are looking forward to face Lucenec (#4) at home in the next round. Prievidza will play against Komarno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
