We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Bolzano BC (5-8) lost on the road to tenth ranked Trieste (5-8) 71-66 on Saturday. Guard Giorgia Sammartini (175-2001) nailed 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Croatian swingman Iva Bosnjak (182-2001) accounted for 11 points and 5 rebounds. Polish Aneta Kotnis (186-1989) came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Maria Daniela Servillo (170-1989) added 5 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Bolzano BC in the defeat. Trieste moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Bolzano BC and Carugate. Trieste will meet higher ranked Broni (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bolzano BC will play against Ponzano in Veneto and hope to secure a win.
