A very close game took place in Baku (derby !!!) between Neftci and Gence. Sixth ranked Neftci (4-8) got a very close home victory over 3rd ranked Gence (8-4). Neftci managed to escape with a 3-point win 81-78 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was Georgian Davit Lomidze (196-1997) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Dennis Jones (185, college: PVAMU) chipped in 22 points. Neftci's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Jalon Perry (185, college: Faulkner) produced 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Collin Turner (185-1995, college: Angelo St.) added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Neftci maintains sixth position with 4-8 record. Gence lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Sabah and Serhedci.
