Regular Season Round 10: Sodertalje - Uppsala 96-68

Damligan top team - Sodertalje (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Uppsala (6-5) 96-68. Sodertalje dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Uppsala's 36 and made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Sodertalje forced 20 Uppsala turnovers. The former international guard Frida Eldebrink (174-1988) scored 26 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Klara Lundquist (173-1999) chipped in 19 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals during the contest. Five Sodertalje players scored in double figures. At the losing side Canadian center Oceana Hamilton (193-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and American point guard Savannah Plentovich (172-1998, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Interperformances) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Sodertalje have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Uppsala at the other side keeps the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Alvik Basket. Sodertalje are looking forward to face Ostersund (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Uppsala will play against the league's second-placed Lulea Basket and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
