Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Bilbao and 10th ranked Murcia had identical 7-7 record. This time Bilbao used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Murcia 99-81 on Sunday night. They outrebounded Murcia 39-27 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Swedish point guard Ludvig Hakanson (189-1996, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 assists. American point guard Adam Smith (185-1992, college: Georgia Tech) helped adding 20 points and 4 assists. Four Bilbao players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) with 17 points and 9 assists and Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Radovic (208-1991, agency: BeoBasket) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bilbao (8-7) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Rio Breogan and Gran Canaria. Loser Murcia keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Valencia and Obradoiro. Bilbao is looking forward to face Girona (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Murcia will play against the league's leader Barca where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
