Regular Season Round 12: PeU-Basket - Ura Basket 76-64

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ura Basket (8-4) against fourth ranked PeU-Basket (8-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Ura Basket was defeated by PeU-Basket in Pernio 76-64. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Ura Basket was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 29-12 charge of PeU-Basket, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ura Basket to just 7 points in first quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ladavius Draine (193, college: Tulsa) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds and Tommi Huolila (198) who added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four PeU-Basket players scored in double figures. PeU-Basket's coach Esa Makynen used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Lauri Hanninen (191-2002) with 22 points and guard Anton Kankaanpaa (196, college: S.Nazarene) scored 13 points. PeU-Basket moved-up to second place, which they share with PuHu Juniorit. Ura Basket at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with HyPo. PeU-Basket will play against Pyrinto Ak.B (#8) in Tampere in the next round where they are favorite. Ura Basket will play at home against HyPo (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
