Regular Season Round 15: Jairis - IDK Eustotren 73-70

There was a minor upset in Alcantarilla where 12th ranked IDK Eustotren (6-10) was edged by fifteenth ranked Jairis (6-10) 73-70 on Sunday. Jairis forced 23 IDK Eustotren turnovers. The best player for the winners was Canadian-Austrian guard Aislinn Konig (178-1998, college: NC State) who scored 14 points and 5 assists. Mozambican forward Tamara Seda (193-1994, college: UTEP) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Joy Adams (180-1993, college: Iona) who recorded 7 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman Maria Espana (180-1992) added 14 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Jairis moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Ensino and IDK Eustotren. Jairis will meet at home higher ranked Gran Canaria (#11) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. IDK Eustotren will play against Bembibre and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
