Regular Season Round 16: AMW Gdynia - SMS PZKosz 80-82

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked AMW Gdynia (6-10) was edged at home by sixth ranked SMS PZKosz (11-5) 82-80 on Sunday. The winners were led by swingman Antoni Siewruk (201-2005) who scored that evening 21 points and 9 rebounds and Mateusz Samiec (190-2005) supported him with 21 points and 8 assists. Even a double-double of 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists by forward Jedrzej Szymanski (194-1996) did not help to save the game for AMW Gdynia. Guard Stefan Marchlewski (184-1998, college: Morrisville St.) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. SMS PZKosz moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Newly promoted AMW Gdynia keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Gliwice 2. SMS PZKosz will meet at home league's leader LKS Lodz in the next round and it may be the game of the week. AMW Gdynia will play against Ogniwo Szcz.
