Regular Season Round 15: Ensino - Cadi La Seu 62-81

Everything could happen in Lugo at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Cadi La Seu and 12th ranked Ensino had identical 6-9 record. But Ensino was not able to use a home court advantage and was rolled over by the opponent from Seu D'urgell 81-62 on Sunday night. Cadi La Seu shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Stephanie Watts (180-1997, college: UNC) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international guard Laura Pena (173-1998) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Cadi La Seu players scored in double figures. Cadi La Seu's coach Jordi Acero used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Alba Prieto (180-1999, college: S.Florida) who recorded 21 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Paula Ginzo (187-1998) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Cadi La Seu (7-9) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Ensino lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with IDK Eustotren and Jairis. Cadi La Seu will meet league's second-placed Valencia on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
