A very close game took place in Sosnowiec between Wroclaw and Sosnowiec. Ninth ranked Wroclaw (5-8) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Sosnowiec (8-6). Wroclaw managed to escape with a 3-point win 78-75 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Stephanie Jones (188-1998, college: Maryland) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. The former international guard Julia Drop (174-1995) chipped in 14 points and 8 assists. Five Wroclaw players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Ghanian-American forward Batabe Zempare (191-1994, college: CSUB, agency: LBM Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds and American guard Jennifer Coleman (175-1998, college: Navy) added 24 points respectively. Wroclaw moved-up to eighth place. Sosnowiec lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. Wroclaw will meet at home higher ranked Poznan (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sosnowiec will play against Lublin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
