Regular Season Round 16: Rubon - Grodno 74-76

Important game to mention about took place in Vitebsk. Second ranked Grodno (12-5) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Rubon (10-7) 76-74 in the fight for the second place. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian power forward Nikola Djuric (203-1991) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Dmitriy Kuratnik (196-1997) who added 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Victor Ovsepyan (202-1991) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Ukrainian center Maksym Kozlovets (200-1990, agency: BIG) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Grodno maintains second position with 12-5 record having just three points less than leader Tsmoki-Minsk U20. Rubon at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. Grodno will play against Gomel (#6) at home in the next round. Rubon will play against Impuls BGUIR in Minsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
