Premier League round 16 most important game was a victory of Rubon II over 5th ranked Grodno GrSU 75-72 on Tuesday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Grodno GrSU. Rubon II forced 26 Grodno GrSU turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Nikita Borodin (183-2002) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Ivan Litarnyi (187-2006) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Ilya Sirotsky (-2003) replied with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Evgeniy Savostyan added 16 points, 8 assists and 6 steals in the effort for Grodno GrSU. Four Rubon II and five Grodno GrSU players scored in double figures. Grodno GrSU's coach Rustan Nosenko rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Rubon II maintains third position with 7-6 record having twelve points less than leader Tsmoki-Minsk U20. Grodno GrSU at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Rubon II are looking forward to face Mogliev (#6) on the road in the next round. Grodno GrSU will play against the league's leader Tsmoki-Minsk U20 and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
