The game in Zagreb supposed to be also worth to mention about. Slovenian Celje played at the court of Croatian Zagreb. Celje smashed Zagreb 95-48. The game without a history. Celje led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 47 Zagreb turnovers. Celje players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Australian Taylah Simmons (185-1997, college: Southeastern) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Blaza Ceh (181-2003) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Celje players scored in double figures. Forward Hana Budimir (180-2006) answered with 11 points and 5 rebounds and guard Iva Medjugorac (174-2005) added 8 points and 5 steals in the effort for Zagreb. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Celje will play against Buducnost in Podgorica in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zagreb will play on the road against Vojvodina 021 in Novi Sad to get more than just one victory in their record.
