No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Kotwica (12-7) beat 13th ranked WKK (8-11) in Wroclaw 75-71 on Wednesday. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized American point guard James Washington (182-1987, college: MTSU) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 8 assists. Patryk Pulkotycki (200-2000) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Kotwica's coach Rafal Frank allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Szymon Kiwilsza (201-1997) came up with 15 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Maksymilian Wilczek (197-2004) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for WKK in the defeat. Four WKK players scored in double figures. Kotwica maintains fifth place with 12-7 record, which they share with Starogard Gd. Loser WKK keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Krakow. Kotwica will meet bottom-ranked Start 2 (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. WKK will play against the league's leader HydroTruck (#1) and hope to secure a win.
