Regular Season Round 15: Clavijo - La Roda 66-56

Very predictable result in Logrono where second ranked Clavijo (11-4) beat 7th ranked La Roda (7-8) 66-56 on Wednesday. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American guard Rob Ukawuba (191-1994, college: NJIT) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points. Guard Juan Coffi (193-1998, college: CBU) helped adding 12 points. Four Clavijo players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Dominican Jhery Matos (196-1996, college: Charlotte) with 11 points and forward Adrian Mendez (195-1993) scored 4 points and 5 rebounds. La Roda's coach Antonio Moya rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Clavijo maintains second place with 11-4 record having just three points less than leader Menorca, which they share with Prat and Sant Antoni. Loser La Roda keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Melilla and Cartagena. Clavijo will meet Baskonia B (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. La Roda will play against Talavera (#13) and hope to secure a win.
