There was a minor upset when 5th ranked BC Lulea (13-8) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Nassjo (9-9) 91-76 on Friday. Nassjo outrebounded BC Lulea 37-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Willie Atwood (201-1994, college: Arizona St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Charles Barton (193-1992, college: Oregon St.) who added 17 points and 7 assists during the contest. Nassjo's coach Joakim Kallman allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Brendan Bailey (203-1997, college: Marquette) with 23 points and Belgian-American forward Michael Gilmore (208-1995, college: VCU) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four BC Lulea players scored in double figures. Nassjo moved-up to sixth place. Loser BC Lulea keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Nassjo will meet higher ranked Umea (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BC Lulea will play against the league's leader Boras and hope to secure a win.
