Very expected game when 9th ranked Lyon (8-11) lost on the road to first ranked SPO Rouen (15-4) 78-68 on Friday. SPO Rouen outrebounded Lyon 35-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for point guard William Mensah (175-1995) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 4 assists. Forward Tim Eboh (197-1997) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Five SPO Rouen players scored in double figures. SPO Rouen's coach Sylvain Delorme used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Dylan Gana (202-1992) came up with 11 points and 4 steals and Bahamas Aaron Levarity (203-1997, college: Milligan) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Lyon in the defeat. SPO Rouen maintains first place with 15-4 record, which they share with Rennes. Lyon lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Feurs CTC. SPO Rouen will meet Besancon (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lyon will play against the league's second-placed STB Le Havre and hope to secure a win.
