Regular Season Round 15: Stade Rochelais - Chalon/Saone 71-81

ProB top team - Chalon/Saor (11-4) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat fourteenth ranked La Rochelle (5-10) 81-71. It was a good game for Damien Bouquet (196-1994) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. The former international guard Antoine Eito (188-1988) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. American point guard Robert Turner III (190-1993, college: Texas Tech, agency: Interperformances) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Alexis Tanghe (208-1990) added 13 points in the effort for La Rochelle. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chalon/Saor maintains first place with 11-4 record, which they share with Vichy Clermont. Newly promoted La Rochelle keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Saint Vallier and ASA. Chalon/Saor is looking forward to face ALM Evreux (#17) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. La Rochelle will play against ASA in Gries and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
