Regular Season Round 15: Treviso - Trieste 69-88
Date: January 14, 2023
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Trieste and 13th ranked Treviso had identical 5-9 record. But Treviso was not able to use a home court advantage and was rolled over by the opponent from Trieste 88-69 on Saturday night. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Skylar Spencer (206-1994, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Frank Bartley IV (191-1994, college: Louisiana, agency: One Motive Sports) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Bartley IV is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Trieste players scored in double figures. Trieste's coach Marco Legovich used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Lithuanian forward Paulius Sorokas (202-1992, agency: Players Group) came up with 22 points and 9 rebounds and Polish swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-1992) added 15 points respectively for Treviso in the defeat. Trieste (6-9) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Treviso dropped to the fourteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Napoli. Trieste will meet higher ranked Venezia (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Treviso will play against Brescia (#8) and hope to secure a win.
