Regular Season Round 13: Papagou - AO Triton 67-77

Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Athens: AO Triton (#1) and Papagou (#2). Papagou was defeated at home 67-77 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Papagou. AO Triton made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Papagou 50-23 including a 21-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Montenegrin center Milovan Draskovic (211-1995) nailed 9 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side and power forward Michalis Kamperidis (206-1994) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Tyler Peterson (193-1997, college: S.Dakota) came up with 24 points and swingman Thanasis Georgopapadakos (191-1986) added 11 points respectively for Papagou in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AO Triton maintains first place with 10-3 record. Newly promoted Papagou dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Maroussi and Eleftheroupoli. AO Triton's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens Maroussi.
