Regular Season Round 17: Limoges CSP - Nanterre 78-75

Fifteenth-ranked Nanterre (5-10) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Limoges CSP (12-4) on Saturday. Limoges CSP managed to secure only three-point victory 78-75. However their fans expected much easier game. Limoges CSP dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Nanterre's 32. Limoges CSP forced 24 Nanterre turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Mali forward Mohamed Sidibe (196-2002) nailed 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and power forward Yannick Nkombou (207-2003) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Noa Calabre (186-2005) came up with 19 points and 5 assists and Lucas Fischer (193-2004) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for Nanterre in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Limoges CSP moved-up to third place, which they share with ASVEL and Blois. Loser Nanterre keeps the fifteenth position with ten games lost. Limoges CSP will meet Le Portel (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Nanterre will play against Dijon and hope to secure a win.
