Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Nancy (9-7) outplayed at home 16th ranked Gravelines (5-11) 82-54 on Saturday. Nancy dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Gravelines' 36. Nancy forced 21 Gravelines turnovers and outrebounded them 51-26 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swingman Guillaume Grotzinger (195-2004) nailed 26 points and 7 assists for the winning side and Cameroonian Yves Mballa (199-2003) accounted for 14 points and 21 rebounds. Four Nancy players scored in double figures. Hugo Boumpoutou (195-2004) came up with 15 points and center Jared Ambrose (204-2002) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Gravelines in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Nancy. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bourg. Loser Gravelines keeps the sixteenth position with 11 games lost. Nancy will meet Monaco (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Gravelines will play against Bourg and hope to secure a win.
