Very expected game when bottom-ranked Agora Portals (0-12) was crushed on the road by third ranked Llucmajor (10-2) 136-62 on Saturday. Llucmajor dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Agora Portals' 44 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Llucmajor forced 30 Agora Portals turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Agora Portals' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Llucmajor made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward Ryan Nicholas (201-1991, college: Portland) who scored 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field). Center Antoni Vicens (204-1990) chipped in 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Llucmajor players scored in double figures. Alexandre Huguet produced 21 points and center Michael Ogunsuyi (200-2006) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Llucmajor moved-up to second place, which they share with Socuellamos. Newly promoted Agora Portals still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Llucmajor will meet at home Alfinden (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Agora Portals will play against Azulejos (#12) in Zaragoza and hopes to get finally their first victory.
