No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Tarbes (4-5) defeated at home bottom-ranked Toulouse (2-7) 66-60 on Saturday. Tarbes dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Toulouse's 24. They outrebounded Toulouse 41-22 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international center Isabelle Yacoubou (190-1986) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Carla Leite (-2004) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was forward Noemie Brochant (181-1999) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Isabelle Strunc (180-1991) scored 19 points. Tarbes moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Flammes. Toulouse lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. They share it with Bretagne. Tarbes will meet higher ranked Roche (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
