Very expected game in Lugo where 12th ranked Ensino (6-11) was defeated by fourth ranked Zaragoza (12-5) 69-65 on Saturday. Zaragoza outrebounded Ensino 41-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of German Leonie Fiebich (193-2000) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Vega Gimeno (185-1991, college: RMU) who added 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Zaragoza players scored in double figures. Zaragoza's coach Carlos Cantero used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side guard Alba Prieto (180-1999, college: S.Florida) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Paula Ginzo (187-1998) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Zaragoza moved-up to third place, which they share with Avenida. Ensino lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Leganes and Jairis. Zaragoza will meet at home Araski (#5) in the next round. Ensino will play against the league's second-placed Valencia (#2) and hope to secure a win.
