The game in Gomel was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Victoria (6-9) played at the court of sixth ranked Gomel (7-8). Gomel did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 86-68 on Saturday. Gomel forced 24 Victoria turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Victoria's players. The winners were led by power forward Olga Kopylova (187-1982) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and Daria Panasyuk (176-1996) supported her with 32 points and 6 rebounds. Even 17 points and 7 rebounds by center Elizabeth Treshchinskaya (185-2004) did not help to save the game for Victoria. Guard Aleksandra Polubok (154-2006) added 11 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Gomel moved-up to fifth place. Victoria lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Gomel will meet at home bottom-ranked Gorizont 2 (#9) in the next round. Victoria will play against Brest and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
