There was a minor upset when higher ranked Tabernes (6-8) was crushed on the road by eleventh ranked Valencia 2 (6-8) 88-62 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was swingman Pablo Luengo (192-2004) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Adrian Salvador (195-2005) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Five Valencia 2 players scored in double figures. Alvaro Martin (-2004) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Marcos Reos (189-2002) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Tabernes' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Valencia 2 moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Aldaia and Tabernes. Tabernes lost third consecutive game. Valencia 2's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Valencia to the arena Picken Claret.
