Very expected game in Sinj where 10th ranked Alkar (4-11) was defeated by sixth ranked Dubrava (8-7) 84-76 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American guard Taveion Hollingsworth (188-1999, college: WKU) who scored 29 points and 9 rebounds. Center Matej Bosnjak (204-2002) chipped in 21 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Bosnian center Imran Polutak (209-1996) who recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Lovre Basic (180-1995) added 15 points and 9 assists respectively. Four Alkar players scored in double figures. Alkar's coach Luka Bujas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dubrava maintains sixth place with 8-7 record. Loser Alkar dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Zabok. Dubrava will meet at home higher ranked Zadar (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Alkar will play against Sibenka (#5) in Sibenik and hope to secure a win.
