Regular Season Round 15: Milano - Tortona 79-63
Date: January 15, 2023
An interesting game for Milano (12-3) which hosted in Milano 3rd placed Tortona (10-5). First ranked Milano had an easy win 79-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tortona. It was a great evening for Greek-Canadian point guard Nazareth Mitrou-Long (193-1993, college: Iowa St., agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 7 rebounds. The former international power forward Nicolo Melli (205-1991) helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Luca Severini (204-1996) with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian-German center Leon Radosevic (208-1990, agency: BeoBasket) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-3 record, which they share with Virtus BO. Tortona at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Milano will play against bottom-ranked Reggio Emilia (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Tortona will play against Scafati (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
