Very expected game when bottom-ranked Langhe Roero (0-15) was smashed by second ranked Livorno Pielle (12-3) in Corneliano d'Alba 102-70 on Sunday. Livorno Pielle had a 37-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for forward Andrea Lo Biondo (206-1998, college: Winona St.) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Senegalese forward Baye Diouf (203-1999) accounted for 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five Livorno Pielle players scored in double figures. Matteo Corgnati (186-2004) came up with 18 points and 8 rebounds and forward Francesco Cravero (200-2003) added 16 points respectively for Langhe Roero in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Livorno Pielle keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Langhe Roero still closes the standings with 15 games lost. They share the position with Pozzuoli.
