The game in San Sebastian was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Alicante (10-6) played at the court of seventh ranked Gipuzkoa (10-6). Gipuzkoa defeated Alicante 77-67 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Alicante. The winners were led by American-Italian guard Adam Sollazzo (198-1990, college: ETSU) who scored that evening 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Justin Jaworski (190-1999, college: Lafayette) supported him with 20 points. Four Gipuzkoa players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 6 rebounds by point guard Adrian Chapela (192-1994) did not help to save the game for Alicante. Lithuanian Osvaldas Matulionis (200-1991) added 9 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gipuzkoa have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Alicante. Gipuzkoa will meet league's second-placed Andorra on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Alicante will play against Castello (#11) and hope to secure a win.
