Regular Season Round 15: Padova V. - Cd'Orlando 78-75

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Padova V. (10-5) edged at home 12th ranked Cd'Orlando (6-9) 78-75 on Sunday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Michele Ferrari (196-1986) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Giacomo Cecchinato (186-2001) accounted for 22 points for the winning side. Padova V.'s coach Riccardo De Nicolao used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international point guard Marco Passera (180-1982) came up with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Latvian Ricards Klanskis (201-2003) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Cd'Orlando in the defeat. Four Cd'Orlando players scored in double figures. Padova V. maintains fourth place with 10-5 record, which they share with Caserta BLE and Legnano K. Loser Cd'Orlando dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Padova V. will meet at home Lumezzane V. (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Cd'Orlando will play against Vicenza and hope to secure a win.
