Regular Season Round 16: Schio - Crema 73-70

Eleventh-ranked Crema (4-12) gave a tough game to top-ranked Schio (16-0) on Sunday. Schio managed to secure only three-point victory 73-70. However their fans expected much easier game. Schio outrebounded Crema 45-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Crema helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American Rhyne Howard (188, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds and Swedish center Amanda Zahui (196-1993, college: Minnesota) who added 10 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Schio's coach Georgios Dikaioulakos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international point guard Raelin DAlie (159-1987, college: Wisconsin, agency: LBM Management) responded with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and guard Francesca Melchiori (174-1993) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Four Crema players scored in double figures. Schio have an impressive 16-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-0 record. Newly promoted Crema keeps the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Schio are looking forward to face league's second-placed Bologna on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Crema will play against Moncalieri (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
