Regular Season Round 15: RSU - Riga/Juniores 80-68

The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked RSU as it allowed them to take a leadership position. RSU defeated 11th ranked Riga/Juniores at home 80-68. They outrebounded Riga/Juniores 43-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for center Evelina Otto (187-2006) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Enija Viksne (178-2004) helped adding 14 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Four RSU players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Franciska Treiliha (177-2004) with 16 points and forward Sarlote Petersone (173-2003) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Riga/Juniores' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. RSU (9-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Riga/Juniores lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with ten games lost. Riga/Juniores will play next round against strong Neptunas trying to get back on the winning streak. RSU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
