Rather expected game when 6th ranked Alvik Basket (6-7) lost on the road to third ranked Norrkoping (8-4) 85-80 on Sunday. Norrkoping outrebounded Alvik Basket 45-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by American guard Alexa Held (178-1999, college: DePaul) who scored that evening 20 points and 5 rebounds and international guard Lovisa Hjern (175-1999) supported her with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Norrkoping players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Aquira Decosta (185-2000, college: Sacramento St.) did not help to save the game for Alvik Basket. Her fellow American import guard Kyah Proctor (168-1995, college: Bowie St.) added 24 points. Alvik Basket's coach Daniel Nilo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains third position with 8-4 record having just three points less than leader Sodertalje. Alvik Basket lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Norrkoping will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Alvik Basket will play against the league's leader Sodertalje (#1) and hope to secure a win.
