Regular Season Round 16: Pruszkow - Bydgoszcz 86-75

Bottom-ranked Pruszkow managed to get a second victory, breaking the two-game losing streak on Monday night. This time newly promoted Pruszkow won against tenth-ranked Bydgoszcz 86-75. Pruszkow dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Bydgoszcz's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Bydgoszcz's players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Weronika Papiernik (174-1998) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals and Magdalena Parysek-Bochniak (182-1989) who added 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Karina Michalek (180-1993) responded with 29 points and 6 rebounds and Marta Wieczynska (180-1998) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Pruszkow and four Bydgoszcz players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pruszkow (2-13) moved-up to tenth place. Bydgoszcz lost tenth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. Pruszkow will meet higher ranked Wroclaw (#9) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bydgoszcz will play against the league's leader Gorzow Wlkp. having rather not much hope for a victory.
