Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked M.Rehovot (6-9) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked E.Netanya (10-6) 91-80 on Tuesday. E.Netanya made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. E.Netanya outrebounded M.Rehovot 33-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Justin Robinson (206-1996, college: Duke) who scored 24 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized Canadian forward Ethan Butler (198-2002) chipped in 17 points and 8 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Four E.Netanya players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward AlLonzo Coleman (203-1989, college: Presbyterian) who recorded 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and naturalized American forward Josh Freund (204-1997, college: Roanoke) added 16 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory E.Netanya went down to fifth position due to points difference. Newly promoted M.Rehovot dropped to the tenth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Ramat Hash.. E.Netanya will meet higher ranked M.Raanana (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. M.Rehovot will play against I.Nahariya (#7) and hope to secure a win.
