Everything went according to plan in Bytom where fifteenth ranked Enea Basket (7-13) won against 17th ranked Polonia (4-16) 83-70 on Wednesday. Enea Basket made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Wojciech Fras (202-1991) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Jakub Andrzejewski (187-2004) who added 16 points during the contest. Four Enea Basket players scored in double figures. American guard Alphonso Willis (188-1998, college: A&M-Commerce) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Marek Piechowicz (201-1988) scored 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Enea Basket maintains fifteenth position with 7-13 record. Polonia lost fourth consecutive game. Polonia at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventeenth place with 16 games lost. Enea Basket will meet at home higher ranked Zak (#7) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Polonia will play against WKK (#12) and hope to secure a win.
