The game in Brcko was also quite interesting. Bulgarian Montana played at the court of Bosnian Lavovi. Montana defeated Lavovi 62-46 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Montana. Lavovi managed to win second period 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lavovi to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Lavovi 46-23 including a 32-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. North Macedonian point guard Andjelika Mitrashinovic (177-1993) notched a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and American Shereen Sutherland (188-1994, college: UC Irvine) supported her with 13 points and 20 rebounds. Even 14 points by point guard Natasa Savic (170-1992) did not help to save the game for Lavovi. Center Mirela Halilovic (183-1998) added 12 points for the hosts. Montana will meet at home Celje in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Lavovi will play against Duga in Sabac and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
