No shocking result in a game when second ranked Jamtland (15-5) beat on the road 9th ranked Uppsala (8-13) 77-63 on Thursday. Jamtland made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Jamtland outrebounded Uppsala 39-20 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard CJ Jackson (185-1996, college: Ohio St., agency: Blacktop Management) nailed 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winning side and naturalized American power forward RT Guinn (208-1981, college: Baylor) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Jordan Shepherd (193, college: California) came up with 24 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and guard Lukas Friberg (190-1995) added 14 points respectively for Uppsala in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jamtland have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 15-5 record having four points less than leader Boras. Newly promoted Uppsala keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Jamtland will meet at home Koping Stars (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Uppsala will play against Umea and hope to secure a win.
