The game between third ranked Umea (14-7) and sixth ranked Nassjo (10-9) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Umea was crushed by Nassjo in Umea 64-85. They outrebounded Umea 44-27 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Charles Barton (193-1992, college: Oregon St.) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 8 assists. American forward Andre Wesson (198-1997, college: Ohio St., agency: Players Group) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Nassjo players scored in double figures. American forward Bryan Jefferson (201-1994, college: Mary) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Gustav Hansson (185-1995) added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for Umea. Umea's coach Boris Balibrea gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Nassjo maintains sixth place with 10-9 record. Umea at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Nassjo are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Fryshuset (#11) in Stockholm in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Umea will play at home against Uppsala (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
