Regular Season Round 15: Alpo - Scrivia 63-80

Not a big story in a game in Verona where 11th ranked Alpo (4-11) was defeated by third ranked Scrivia (13-2) 80-63 on Saturday. It was a great evening for guard Valentina Bonasia (163-1994) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Sofia Marangoni (177-1995) helped adding 11 points and 10 assists. Five Scrivia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Elisa Mancinelli (177-1993) with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Anna Turel (174-2002) scored 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Scrivia moved-up to second place, which they share with Udine. Loser Alpo dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Scrivia will meet at home Trieste (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alpo will play against Ponzano in Veneto and hope to secure a win.
