Rather expected game when 15th ranked Saint Chamond (5-11) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Quimper UJAP (7-9) 93-81 on Saturday. Quimper UJAP made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Croatian center Ivan Vranes (207-1996, agency: Interperformances) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Elhadji-Digue Diawara (206-1998) chipped in 25 points. Nigerian-American forward Josh Ajayi (201-1996, college: USA) produced 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Algerian forward Kamel Ammour (203-1991) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Quimper UJAP and four Saint Chamond players scored in double figures. Quimper UJAP moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Denain-Voltaire. Saint Chamond lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Stade Rochelais and Saint Vallier. Quimper UJAP will meet higher ranked Nantes (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saint Chamond will play against La Rochelle (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
