Very predictable result when first ranked Castello (12-3) rolled over 11th ranked Cerdanyola (4-11) in Castellon 72-50 on Saturday. Castello forced 25 Cerdanyola turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for forward Aina Martin (178-2000) who led the winners and scored 10 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Ana Perez (-2001) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Eva Almasque came up with 15 points and power forward Lara Fernandez (179-1987) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Cerdanyola in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Castello maintains first place with 12-3 record. Cerdanyola lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Sant Adria. Castello will meet Maresme (#5) in the next round. Cerdanyola will play against Almeda (#7) and hope to secure a win.
