Rather expected game when 13th ranked Aridane (3-11) lost to tenth ranked Unicaja (6-8) in Los Llanos 45-60 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for Luxembourg Marija Stojiljkovic (190-1998) who led the winners and scored 9 points and 13 rebounds. Fatou Filor accounted for 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Unicaja's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Mara Cortes (182-1994) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and Ana Fernandez (175-1993, college: Canisius) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Aridane in the defeat. Unicaja have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place. Newly promoted Aridane keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Unicaja will meet at home league's leader Plasencia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aridane will play against the league's second-placed CD Talent (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
