Regular Season Round 15: Aranguren - Maresme 59-61

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Aranguren (3-12) was edged at home by sixth ranked Maresme (10-5) 61-59 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for forward Queralt Coll (188-1994, college: Campbellsville) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Irene Broncano (183-2004) accounted for 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Hannah Langhi (188, college: Cent Arkansas) came up with 15 points and 6 rebounds and forward Beatriz Royo (176-1991, agency: Promo Sport ID) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Aranguren in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Maresme moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Segle XXI and Mataro. Newly promoted Aranguren keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Maresme will meet at home league's leader Castello in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aranguren will play against Mataro (#6) and hope to secure a win.
