Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Hapoel Beer Sheva (7-7) defeated at home 11th ranked Hapoel Eilat (3-11) 105-101 on Saturday. Hapoel Beer Sheva dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Eilat's 30 and made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Hapoel Beer Sheva looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Nigerian guard David Efianayi (188-1995, college: Gardner-Webb) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. American forward Ben Moore (203-1995, college: SMU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Jared Terrell (191-1995, college: URI) produced 31 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Eric Griffin (203-1990, college: Campbell) added 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Beer Sheva moved-up to sixth place. Hapoel Eilat lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Hapoel Beer Sheva will meet Hapoel Haifa (#7) on the road in the next round. Hapoel Eilat will play against Hapoel Jerusalem (#5) and hope to secure a win.
